| Particular courses only allow students to register when it is apparent certain skill levels can be expected. In addition, for students younger than twenty-one who did not take the ACT or SAT or do not feel comfortable with their scores, Boise State offers Placement Exams for several subjects.

| Boise State University's Academic Calendars list all of the registration deadline dates for the current catalog year. The calendar specifies the policy deadlines, by semester and session, for the following: registration, adding and dropping classes, and withdrawals. You are strongly encouraged to familiarize yourself with these calendars, especially the Deadlines by Session table, as you will be held accountable for meeting these deadlines. | Once you register for classes, you remain registered and are held responsible for the fees and grades assessed for these classes unless you cancel your registration. If you do not pay for or do not attend these classes you are still held responsible for the fees and grades assessed. If you decide not to attend any classes, you must drop all of them (including classes and workshops that begin later in the semester) through BroncoWeb no later than the tenth day of classes (see Academic Calendar Deadlines by Session).
