Transfer Equivalency Guides
Boise State University accepts all academic credits from regionally accredited institutions. Transfer courses are evaluated on a course-by-course basis. Courses transfer to Boise State on the same level as taken (lower or upper division) at the original institution. Quarter credits are converted to semester credits. (One quarter credit equals 2/3 of a semester credit.). Credit for applied technology courses are transferable only for those students admitted to the Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) program. For student taking Independent Study of Idaho courses click here to view the equivalency guide.
Please note: These are unofficial course evaluations and are provided as a convenience for prospective students. This document is our best estimate of how specific courses will transfer to Boise State, but this document should not be considered a guarantee of transfer credit awarded. A formal course evaluation will be initiated once an official application for admission has been received and all official transcripts have been submitted. Course equivalencies may change at any time without notice. Course equivalencies are under constant review and are continuously being developed.
The Transfer Evaluation System (TES) is a tool to estimate the courses you can expect to transfer.
This database is regularly updated. If you do not see the school or course you are looking for, it may not be in the database yet. Please contact the Registrar’s Office to check if the course will transfer.
